Just after Midnight.
I’m about ready to go to bed.
Today was a pretty fun day. Alex and I went out to lunch at the Outback and then went to see Jumper, which was a pretty decent film. Hayden Christiansen was less wood-ish than he was as Anakin Skywalker…and Rachel Bilson…oooph, a cutie. I wasn’t terribly happy with the ending which is LOTR-ish leaving a LOT open. I was watching the Oscars tonight and was happy to see that No Country for Old Men won for best picture. Daniel Day Lewis also won in the Best Actor category for “There will be blood. I’ve not yet seen Michael Clayton but everyone tells me how good it was. I’ll see it someday.
I’m pretty jazzed to get back into my work routine. Friday was an early day for most people. I’ve been lax over the weekend in regards to working out. I’ve also not read anything, which I had hoped to do. I spent about 4 hours in the bookstore on Saturday and didn’t find anything I wanted to invest time into…was in a bit of a funk so it doesn’t surprise me. I’ll work on that for next weekend. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything and I usually re-read books until they fall apart. Was thinking about rereading the Foundation series, but that’s a biggie, maybe too big right now. I think I want something nostalgic…something fun…Perhaps Robinson Crusoe? My parents have a first edition that I can probably borrow. I loved that book at 10 and been itching to read it again at some point.
I’ve also been seriously thinking about doing something crazy lately. Maybe rent a car and take a road trip or maybe revisit Rapallo for a week or something. Amsterdam anyone? Seattle for a long weekend? Perhaps the cabin camp in VT? I feel like I need a breath of fresh air…out with the old, in with the new. The game developer’s conference just ended and I would have seriously killed to go to that. It would have given me some good feedback regarding my multi-platform social print pushing. It’s a great idea…who want’s to be rich because I don’t think it’ll be me or HP because no one likes it.
I’m going to do my best to control my dreams tonight. The last few nights have been difficult at best with the constant waking and tossing. I don’t need a lot of sleep but I need some so hopefull I’ll get a good 4 hours in tonight. My sleep patterns remind me of my Granny never slept a lot, at least in her older years. I guess the first step to getting a nice night’s sleep is to stop writing in this stupid blog.
Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite.
