Keeping on keeping on.
It’s Thursday and it’s been a good week, so far I think. Of course, it’s a short week due to Memorial Day on Monday, so that might have something to do with it.
It’s the end of my 3rd week back on the routine and I’m starting to feel a bit stronger. It’s nice to see a little definition coming back. Looking back, I was a fool to slack off when I was 190lbs and I won’t make the same mistake again. Currently I’m doing 5 days a week with 30 mins of cardio and then weights and I imagine I’ll be able to maintain with 3 days a week…I just have to get down to that weight to actually maintain something. I’m also taking other steps to become healthier, physically and mentally, that aren’t easy to adhere to but I’m determined. One of the things that doesn’t help is the gym here at HP. They’ve only got 2 eliptical machines, which clearly isn’t enough. Perhaps they could scrap one of the 6 treadmills (that are NEVER full) and get another eliptical…that or I could find another gym to go to, but the convenience of this one being free and at work is awesome.
Work is going ok. I’m not terribly thrilled with the direction we’re going but I’m not at the helm. It seems odd to me to disregard the member base at Tabblo. They are the proverbial “foot in the door” and could be exploited if we decided to capitalize on them. We’ve already got a decent core…if we put a little time and effort into expanding that core we’d have something substantial. Then at that point you can start unleashing new technologies on them and they would eat it up (and generate substantial buzz). Most, if not all, of our members belong to OTHER social networks and would DO THE MARKETING WORK FOR US if we focus on them.
